I have to admit that after the first few pages I didn't think I was going to like this book, but I was pleasantly surprised that I sort of became obsessed with finishing it. The story itself was original but I initially had a hard to visualizing not just the characters but the surroundings as well. Usually when I read, I'm so caught up in the story that its almost tangible, Conversion wasn't like that for me though. It still was a great story line but parts of it just didn't seem even slightly possible. Yes I know it's fiction but don't act like you haven't read a story and let your imagination run a bit. The story is well written and has enough twist and turns to keep you guessing through out. I really did enjoy it and immediatley picked up Bloodlines
