Spellbound (Spellbound, #1)

Spellbound (Spellbound, #1) - Cara Lynn Shultz I wasn't head over heels in love with "Spellbound but I did like it quite a bit. Emma was the kind of heroine who was more real than kick ass awesome. She had legitimate fears, and dreams, and she went through real life experience the way us everyday people do. Minus the ancient curse, soul mate at 16, and witches of course. When her mother and brother died just a year apart she loved them, mourned them but then she tried to live on because that's what you have do. Few things annoy me more than a person who feels the world and their life should end because they couldn't save the person closest to them. You made it for a reason, please don't spit in fate's face when she gives you a gift. Aunt Christine and Ashley were both amazing people, they treated Emma like a person not like damaged goods. Brendan was sweet and charming and thank goodness he wasn't some pompous rich asshole. The plot was easy to follow, and had enough details not to be overwhelming. I do think that maybe everything came a tad too easy for Emma and Brendan in the end but since the characters were so likable I will give that a pass. I give it a solid 3 stars.
